Приглашение на научный семинар: «Police Corruption and Collusion: Some Comparative Findings»

Научно-учебная группа «Социально-правовые исследования» приглашает всех желающих на научный семинар на тему: «Police Corruption and Collusion: Some Comparative Findings».

Докладчик: Dr. Leslie Holmes, Professor of Political Science at the University of Melbourne.

Аннотация: While police corruption is ubiquitous, it is far more widespread in some countries than in others. This webinar will explore the significance of police corruption generally before focusing on the issue in four countries – Bulgaria, Germany, Russia and Singapore. Why is there far more police corruption in Russia than in Singapore, for instance? What do members of the general public and the business community in these four states– and police officers themselves in Bulgaria and Russia - see as the principal causes of police corruption in their country? Why do some officers engage in so-called ‘noble cause corruption’? In what ways do police officers collude with organised crime groups? And does police corruption really matter anyway? These are the main topics addressed in this presentation.

Приглашаются все желающие.

Формат: онлайн, Zoom

Язык семинара: английский (синхронный перевод не предусмотрен)

Семинар пройдёт 18 октября в 13:00 по московскому времени.
