9th Annual ICSID Conference 2020 "Comparative Perspectives on the Political Economy of Development", June 9-11, 2020
9th Annual Conference of the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) “The Political Economy of Redistribution and Institutional Change” will be held at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow on June 9-11, 2020. The conference will include the EACES-HSE Workshop “Topics in Political Economy of Development” on June 9
This year we will continue discussing a variety of issues in the field of political economy that we focused on during the seven previous ICSID conferences.
Some of the conference topics are:
- Collective actions and public goods
- Comparative studies of governance
- Social capital, trust, and cultural norms
- Human capital and economic development
- Political elites and economic performance
- History and persistence of economic growth
The conference will bring together both Russian and foreign researchersworking on these topics, including Rebecca Morton from NYU Abu Dhabi, Henry E. Hale from George Washington University, Jos from Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon as invited speakers. Tavares
