The IIMS cooperates intensively with the other HSE Research Institutes, outside experts and analytical centers acting often as a “system integrator”. The Center for Labor Market Studies, the Institute for Trade Policy, the Institute for Public Procurement and the Lab for Institutional Analysis of Economic Reforms may be named among the IIMS partners inside the HSE.
The key partners of the IIMS in Russia are the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the Graduate School of Management of St.-Petersburg State University, the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, the Levada-Center, the Interdepartmental Analytical Center (IAC), the Economic Expert Group, the Department of Economics of Ural State University, the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences (CEMI), the Center for Economic and Financial Research at NES.
Since 2004 the IIMS has hosted for the period from 2-3 weeks to several months visiting researches from Japan, USA, Germany, Italy, Korea, Australia, with the support of the DAAD and Humboldt Foundation grants and financial aid of other scientific foundations, the HSE included. The IIMS staff members worked as visiting researchers and professors in the universities and scientific centers of Japan, the USA, Germany, Italy and Finland.
Among the IIMS permanent partners abroad the following institutions shall be mentioned: Harriman Institute at Columbia University (USA), the Institute of Economic Research of Hitotsubashi University (Japan), Kyoto University (Japan), Forschungsstelle Osteuropa (Germany), the Center for Markets in Transition (CEMAT) at the Aalto University School of Economics (Finland), the Bank of Finland’s Institute of Economics in Transition (Finland), Middlebury College (USA), the School on Local Development at the University of Trento (Italy), the World Bank Institute.
