Gaidar Forum 2017

VIII Gaidar Forum “Russia and the World: Setting Priorities” took place at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) on January 12-14, 2017.

Svetlana B. Avdasheva, head of the Department of Applied Economy and deputy director of the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies, participated as an expert in the panel discussion “Competition Policy Priorities”.
Gaidar Forum is an annual international academic and research conference dedicated to the issues related to economics. The Forum has been held since 2010 in commemoration of Yegor Gaidar, a prominent scientist, economist and ideologist of the early-90s reforms in Russia.
 
Discussions at the Forum are traditionally focused on current challenging issues. Particular importance is attached to topics related to comprehension of the position Russia is taking in the world and its strategic role.
The Forum is a meeting point for theorists and practitioners, world leading scientists and politicians and influential representatives of global financial and business elites.
