Let's talk
A conversation with 2018 Russian presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak was held at Columbia University on February 8, 2018. The talk was organized by the Harriman Institute and the New York University Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia, and moderated by Timothy Frye, ICSID Academic Supervisor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Columbia University.
“We’re very glad that you’re here, we’re very honored that you’re here, but why are you here?” asked Tim Frye his interlocutor. The reply was a long one. In front of a packed audience K. Sobchak spoke for about two hours about her reasons for visiting the US on the eve of the Russian presidential elections, about the main planks of her political platform and her motives for running for Russia’s highest office.
