European Regional Science Association Congress 2018

IIMS Research fellow Victoria Golikova took part in the 58th ERSA Congress “Places for People: Innovative, Inclusive and liveable Regions” that was held in Cork, Ireland at the end of August.

This year's Congress was dedicated to regional and urban development and attracted about 800 participants from all continents. Places matter for economic and social development. In an increasingly globalized world, people are looking to local and regional factors to optimize competitive advantage, inclusivity, and well-being.
The Congress hosted a large variety of themes in spatial, regional, and urban economics, economic geography, and regional policy topics like local governance and institutions.

Victoria Golikova presented her paper «The role of CEO demographic characteristics in firm innovative performance: comparative analysis of European countries and Russia» (co-authored with Boris Kuznetsov and Fernanda Ricotta).
