International partnership with Trinity College Dublin

Noah Buckley-Farlee, research fellow at ICSID, has been working as an assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin since August 1. We interviewed him about his impressions and further plans.

Since arriving in Dublin in August to start as Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Trinity College Dublin, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know a new city and a new institution.

We’re now halfway through the teaching term, and I’ve been excited to engage with new challenges, such as teaching my two undergraduate courses this term. One, Public Opinion, seems all too topical in this day and age, while the other, Russian Politics, lets me share my deep interest and knowledge of the topic with a new group of young people.

Meanwhile, I’ve been busy working on a research project on how to measure public opinion under threat of authoritarian meddling along with several projects on Russian political elites. I’m looking forward to returning to topics including more Russian public opinion and measuring corruption in the coming months.
