10th ICSID Conference "Political Economy in a Changing World", June 7-10, 2021.

The 10th Annual ICSID Conference "Political Economy in a Changing World" will be held online on June 7-10, 2021. The conference will also include the EACES-HSE Workshop “Topics in Political Economy of Development”. The event attracts a large number of experts from the world’s leading universities presenting new research on a variety of topics (details of the last year's conference can be found here). 

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Collective action and public goods
  • Comparative studies of governance
  • Social capital, trust, and cultural norms
  • Human capital and economic development
  • Political elites and economic performance
  • History and persistence of economic growth

The working language is English. The conference and the workshop will be held online due to the current restrictions because of the COVID-19.

The International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) is one of the international laboratories created by the Higher School of Economics in 2011, and currently unites a team of researchers from Russia, USA and Europe.
