We are looking for research assistance to join the project

We invite you to take part in the competition for the vacancy of a research intern for the project ‘Institutions, Human Capital and Regional Development: Historical Analysis and Contemporary Challenges’, supervised by A. P. Kazun.

Requirements:

·        Student, Master's or Bachelor's degree (3-4 years of study), or postgraduate student in ‘Economics’, ‘Statistics’, ‘Political Science’, ‘Sociology’, ‘Oriental Studies’, not engaged in other projects of the Fundamental Research Programme 2025 at the time of application;

·        R, Python, Stata or SPSS (preferably);

·        no academic debts for the last six months;

·        high level of English.

·        Advantages for selection for the position are:

·        experience in statistical and econometric data analysis,

·        high academic ranking,

·        experience in parsing,

·        availability of publications, experience of participation in scientific conferences, orientation on academic career,

·        interest in the research topic, pursuit of an academic career, postgraduate studies (for Master's students), publication of scientific texts, participation in conferences is welcome.

 Anticipated responsibilities:

·        Data searching and analysis

·        Econometric analysis

·        Literature review on the proposed topic

·        Preparation of texts on the results of analyses in Russian or English.

 We offer

·        Part-time employment, possible part-time, predominantly remote work.

·        Arrangement under a fixed-term labor contract until December 2025.

·        The salary is determined by the results of the interview.

·        If the research trainee is successful during this period, the work may be continued on a permanent basis beyond December 2025 as agreed by the parties.

·        The execution of this project may be counted as labor or scientific practice at the faculty.

·        In agreement with the supervisors, the researcher has the right to use the obtained data and results for coursework, thesis and dissertation.
