ICSID new team member
Kathryn Hendley, Professor of Law and Political Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison, joined the ICSID team for two years. Together with Andrei Yakovlev and Anton Kazun she will work on the project on Russian corporate lawyers.
In May Kathryn Hendley will start working for the ICSID as a leading researcher within the framework of the International Recruitment Program of HSE University. She is planning to spend not less than 3 week every year in Russia. Kathryn will conduct a focus group interviews, she will also work on scientific articles together with ICSID team members.
Kathryn Hendley received her PhD in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley, in 1993. She graduated UCLA School of Law in 1982 and became Juris doctor. Professor Hendley's research focuses on legal and economic reform in the former Soviet Union. Her research explores how ordinary Russians and entrepreneurs experience law. Kathryn Hendley has written more than 40 articles published in leading scientific journals indexed by Scopus.
Professor Hendley is currently working on a major project dedicated to legal education in Russia. In addition to that the project will include a research on Russian corporate lawyers. This research fits into a grant of Khamovniki Foundation. Detailed information is available on the website.
