“New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia”

On June 6-9th, the second international conference “New Advances in the Political Economy of Development in Eurasia” was held in Almaty, where among the participants were the ICSID scholars.


The ICSID Director Anton Kazun presented the study “Perceptions Matter: Probing Public Support for Artificial Intelligence Development in Russia,” co-authored by Michael Rochlitz. 

Yulia Rodionova presented the report “Public Procurement Efficiency and Enforcement: Evidence from Kazakhstan and Russia”.

The focus of the presentation by Mikhail Belov was on the results of the study, co-authored with Vadim Devyatnikov, Anton Kazun and Daniil Romanov, “The Effect of Economic Status on Sentence Severity in Car Accidents: Quantitative Analysis of Court Decisions in Criminal Cases in Russia.”
