Global South and Russia: Challenges for the Economy and Development

Dr. Mbandlwa Zamokule, ICSID Visiting Researcher, Senior Lecturer in the  Department of Public Administration and Economics, Durban University of Technology, presented his report on "Global Economies in the Global South and Russia's Economy."

During the meeting participants discussed opportunities and constraints in the development of the Russian economy and the Global South, including cooperation within BRICS. The development of institutions and the formation of human capital are the main points to manage during crises, and the fight against corruption remains an important task.
