Conference of the European Political Science Association 2018
ICSID researcher fellows Israel Marques and Noah Buckley participated in the 8th Annual General Conference of the European Political Science Association (EPSA) on June 21-23, 2018. This year’s EPSA conference took place in the Apothecaries’ Wing of the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna – a UNESCO world heritage site.
The 2018 conference brought together an exciting group of political scientists from all around the world. More than 170 discussion panels were held during the three days of the conference. The organizers were able to provide the participants with plenty of opportunities to discuss their research, to network and get feedback or to simply enjoy the palace with its park and the city of Vienna in early summer.
The capacity of the conference was limited to 750 speakers this year, including the two members of the ICSID team:
Noah Buckley «It's a Dirty Job: Consequences of Corruption in Corrupt Contexts» and «Verticals and Horizontals: Networks of Power under Consolidating Authoritarianism»,
Israel Marques «Political Networks and Competition – Elite Networks, Electoral Incentives, and Intergovernmental Transfers in Competitive Authoritarian Regimes: Evidence from Russia».
The 9th Annual Conference of the European Political Science Association will be held in Belfast, 20-22 June 2019, at the Peter Froggatt Centre at Queen’s University Belfast.
