2019 ASEEES Convention in San Francisco

51st Annual Convention of Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies was held in San Francisco (USA) on November 23-26, 2019. ICSID staff members Andrei Yakovlev, Ekaterina Borisova, Israel Marques, Amanda Zadorian and Guzel Gariffulina as well as ICSID associate fellows Michael Rochlitz and Alexander Libman took part in the convention.

Andrei Yakovlev presented a paper “Performance Incentives for Regional Officials: Russia and China since 2012”, Ekaterina Borisova gave a presentation on «The Popular Logic of Authoritarian Policymaking: Evidence from Housing Renovations in Russia». Amanda Zadorian’s paper "How ‘rentier' was Russian social policy during the commodity price boom?" and Israel Marques’ presentation "Past Experiences and Current Preferences for Redistribution: Evidence from The Moscow Housing Renovation Project" were also on the program.
