Keynote lecture of laureates of the Russian National Award in applied economics – 2020
This is our pleasure to announce that the National Prize in Applied Economics 2020 was awarded to the article “Democratizing Access to Higher Education in Russia: The Consequences of the Unified State Exam Reform" published in the “European Economic Review” (2019, Volume 117, pages 56-82) by Marco Francesconi (University of Essex, UK), Fabián Slonimczyk (ICEF, HSE, Moscow) and Anna Yurko (ICEF, HSE, Moscow).
The official awarding ceremony will take place on May 13th at 4 p.m. (MSK) within the XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development organized by HSE University in a distributed format. The ceremony will be proceeded by the Keynote Lecture of the Laureates based on their research.

The National Prize in Applied Economics (http://econprize.ru/) was established in 2009 by National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow), New Economic School (Moscow), Ural Federal University (Ekaterinburg), Association of Russian Economic Think Tanks, Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences and by Business magazine “Expert”. The Prize is awarded every two years for outstanding research of Russian economy. Among the previous recipients of the Award were the following scholars: Evgeny Yakovlev and Ekaterina Zhuravskaya; William Pyle and Laura Solanko; Andrei Markevich and Mark Harrison; Ina Ganguli; Yuriy Gorodnichenko, Jorge Martinez-Vazquez and Klara Sabirianova-Peter.
