We work together again!

Amanda Zadorian, the ICSID research fellow, will continue working with the ICSID team. Her candidacy as an international specialist (post-doc) was approved by the HSE University Сommission.

We work together again!

Amanda started working at the ICSID in 2018 and since that moment she has been involved in different research activities. Amanda participates in all academic events organized by the Center both in Russia and abroad. In October 2019 she was a speaker at the joint workshop of the ICSID and the University of Bremen, in November she presented her paper “How rentier was Russian social policy during the commodity price boom?” at the ASEEES conference in San Francisco (USA). In 2019 Amanda also attended the annual ICSID conference, her paper was entitled “Redistributive or Financial Rentierism? Russian Social Policy, 2004-2014”.

This year Amanda will also take part in the 9th ICSID conference, her paper “Governing through stolichnaya praktika: Housing Renovation and center-periphery relations in Russia” was prepared jointly with her colleagues at the HSE University. During her time at the ICSID Amanda wrote a number of papers, we are looking forward to reporting on the publications in the near future. At the moment Amanda Zadorian is finalizing her monograph “Competing for Legitimacy: Oil Industry Reform in Russia and Brazil”.

 Amanda’s activities also include teaching: together with her colleagues at the HSE University she leads a project seminar at Master’s Programme “Politics. Economics. Philosophy” and also acts as a thesis advisor of two HSE University students.
