Seminar at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies

Andrei Yakovlev was invited to give a talk at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies (Harvard University) on March 9, 2018. The paper that Professor Yakovlev presented was called “In Response to External Shocks: How Advanced Russian Regions React to Changes in Federal Policies – the Experience of Tatarstan”. The seminar was chaired by Thomas Remington, the Davis Center Associate and Visiting Professor at Harvard University.

IIMS and ICSID Director Prof. Andrei Yakovlev became a winner of a prestigious Yegor Gaidar Annual Award for “Outstanding Contributions to Economics”. The Award Ceremony took place in the Theatre of Nations in Moscow on December 15, 2017.   

1st ARIEL CONFERENCE

ICSID Director Andrei Yakovlev took part in the 1st Ariel Conference on the Political Economy of Public Policy that was held in Israel on September 10-12, 2017. 

IIMS and ICSID team members among Best Teachers of HSE 2017

HSE students have chosen the University’s best teachers of 2016/17 academic year. The students voted online via the LMS module ‘Rate your Courses’ from May 29 to June 18, after the obligatory Teaching Quality Assessment. After completing the assessment form, the students were asked to select two best lecturers and workshop supervisors.  Unlike the Teaching Quality Assessment, voting was not obligatory, and the students could leave the form blank.

Tim joined Errol Louis, the host of "Inside City Hall" - a nightly political show on NY1, to discuss a report from the Obama administration that accused Vladimir Putin of ordering a hidden campaign to influence America's presidential election in favor of Donald Trump. Tim also offered some insights into the current state of affairs in Russia and relationship between the USA and Russia nowadays.
