XVIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development organized by Higher School of Economics will take place in Moscow on April 11-14, 2017.

ICSID Leading Research Fellow Ekaterina Borisova was invited to take part in a seminar organized by the Laboratory for Labour Market Studies (LLMS) and the Centre for Labour Market Studies (CLMS) on March 14, 2017. Ekaterina presented her paper «Bridging or bonding? Preferences for redistribution and social capital in Russia» (co-authored by Denis Ivanov, Research Fellow at ICSID).
Another session of the joint Research Seminar on Diversity and Development
Constantine Sorokin, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Senior Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Decision Choice and Analysis at NRU HSE, presented his paper "Distributional comparative statics for auctions and beyond" (co-authored by Eyal Winter) on March 14, 2017.
Scientific Report "Calculating Corruption: Political Competition and Bribery under Authoritarianism"
HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held another session of their Research Seminar on Diversity and Development on February 28th, 2017. The event was held jointly with the seminar “Political Economy”.

Andrei Yakovlev, the Head of the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies, took part in the Conference on Eastern Europe's New Conservatives: Varieties and Explanations from Poland to Russia, which was held in Berlin on February 9-10, 2017.

Elena Podkolzina, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Economics, and Senior Research Fellow, Center for Institutional Studies at HSE, presented her paper "Corruption perception and competition in public procurement: empirical evidence from Russian regions" (co-authored with P. Detkova and A. Tkachenko) on January 31th, 2017.

HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held another session of their Research Seminar on Diversity and Development. The event was held jointly with the seminar “Political Economy”.

Tim joined Errol Louis, the host of "Inside City Hall" - a nightly political show on NY1, to discuss a report from the Obama administration that accused Vladimir Putin of ordering a hidden campaign to influence America's presidential election in favor of Donald Trump. Tim also offered some insights into the current state of affairs in Russia and relationship between the USA and Russia nowadays.
