Another ICSID-CSDSI Seminar on Diversity and Development
The International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held anotherjoint Research Seminar on Diversity and Development on March 31, 2015. This time Professor Ruben Enikolopov from New Economic School presented his paper "Winning Hearts and Minds: Evidence from a Field Experiment in Afghanistan".
HSE Enters Second Stage of Project 5-100 a Leader
The Higher School of Economics is among the top four universities ranked by the Council on Enhancing the Competitiveness of Russia’s Leading Universities. HSE is the only university participating in the project to have kept its leading position in the ranking. The university’s Vice Rector, Maria Yudkevich, who also presented HSE’s Roadmap at the Council’s meeting in Tomsk, talks about how the university was able to achieve this and describes what HSE has set as its priorities in the next stage of the fight to enter the list of the world’s strongest universities.

4th workshop in the series of the ICSID-CSDSI seminars took place at the Higher School of Economics on March 17, 2015. An Exciting Opportunity to Present Research to a Primarily Russian Audience
Lauren McCarthy, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Political Science and Legal Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Associate Research Fellow in the HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development. Course of lectures for European students
23th February - 5th March, Boris Kuznetsov, the leading research fellow of the Institute for Industrial and Market Studies, delivered a series of lectures on modern Russian economy for Master students at the Università Ca' Foscari (Venice, Italy) as well as several lectures on the problems of Russian economy at Venice International University.

The Crisis Is Forcing Us to Seek New Answers to Old Questions
On 7-10th April 2015 the HSE, supported by the World Bank will be holding the XVI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Top political scientists, sociologists and economists, government officials and businessmen will discuss the burning issues we are facing today; should we take the path of international integration, how can we resolve the current economic crisis and where should we look for new drivers of economic growth?
