Research Seminar on Diversity and Development

David Schindler became the 5th speaker this year to present his research at the ICSID-CSDSI regular seminar on Diversity and Development. The seminar was held jointly with the seminar “Political Economy” and Economic Development and Growth Research Group on April 17, 2018.

ICSID Research Fellow Denis Ivanov took part in the Second conference “Political Economy of Democracy and Dictatorship” which was held in the Westphalian Wilhelm University Muenster (Germany) on March 15-17, 2018. 

Joint seminar on Diversity and Development

Another session of the joint seminar on Diversity and Development was held at HSE on March 13.  Professor Andrei Markevich from the New Economic School presented his research on "Democratic Support for the Bolshevik Revolution: An Empirical Investigation of 1917 Constituent Assembly Elections".

Andrei Yakovlev was invited to give a talk at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies (Harvard University) on March 9, 2018. The paper that Professor Yakovlev presented was called “In Response to External Shocks: How Advanced Russian Regions React to Changes in Federal Policies – the Experience of Tatarstan”. The seminar was chaired by Thomas Remington, the Davis Center Associate and Visiting Professor at Harvard University.
