New stage of cooperation: the HSE University and the FU Berlin
In March 2021 the HSE University and Freie Universität Berlin (FUB) were awarded an institutional partnership grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to foster cooperation between these two institutions and to involve in it a broader group of younger fellows and doctoral students. On May 27th this project will start with a digital workshop "Varieties of Populism in East and West" (deadline for submission is April 23rd; for more info about the workshop see the link at the end of the news). We interviewed Professor Dr. Katharina Bluhm, director of the Institute for East European Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, about the goals of this project and prospects of cooperation between the HSE University and the FUB.
Post-doctoral Fellowships
HSE has started recruitment for post-doctoral positions for the next academic year. International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ISCID) has proposed 7 research topics for postdoctoral fellows.
Ora John Edward Reuter was nominated for Golden Citation Award-2019
On November 27, "Golden Citation" ceremony was held in the HSE University in order to award the most cited HSE scholars. Ora John Edward Reuter, senior research fellow of ICSID, became one of the nominee of this award

Kyle Marquardt became an Assistant Professor in the School of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, and ICSID research fellow.
IAMCR 2019: Communication, Technology and Human Dignity: Disputed Rights, Contested Truths
Anton Kazun, ICSID research fellow, took part in IAMCR conference that was held in Madrid (Spain) on July 7-11, 2019. He presented his paper«Global News Flow in G-20: Attention to Countries vs Attention to Leaders» (co-authored by Anastasia Kazun).

Research Seminar on Diversity and Development
