IIMS Director Andrei Yakovlev took part in the 1st Ariel Conference on the Political Economy of Public Policy that was held in Israel on September 10-12, 2017.

APSA Annual Meeting 2017
Some of the ICSID researchers took part in the 113th American Political Science Association Annual Meeting 2017 that was held in San Francisco on August 31-September 3, 2017.

Guest researcher: Ksenia Gonchar from Higher School of Economics Moscow
From September 11 to 24, 2017 IIMS Leading research fellow Ksenia Gonchar will be a guest researcher at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics, working group of Jutta Günther.
Economics of European Crises and Emerging Markets
IIMS Director Andrei Yakovlev contributed a chapter titled «Political Response to the Crisis: The Case of Russia» to a new book by Palgrave Macmillan «Economics of European Crises and Emerging Markets». The chapter was co-authored with Natalia Akindinova, Andrey Chernyavsky and Nikolay Kondrashov.

New publication
IIMS Leading Research Fellow Ksenia Gonchar contributed a chapter titled «Lessons for a Policy Maker from Real-Life Self-Discovery in Economies with Weak Institutions» to a new book by Elsevier Academic Press «Advances in the Theory and Practice of Smart Specialization».
Visiting researcher at ICSID
Amanda Zadorian, Ph.D. Candidate in Politics at the New School for Social Research, spent a month working at ICSID this summer. Amanda answered a couple of our questions about her current research and her stay in Moscow.
SILVAPLANA 2017
ICSID Leading research fellow Ekaterina Borisova took part in the 26th Silvaplana Workshop on Political Economy that was held in Pontresina, Switzerland, on July 23-27, 2017.
IIMS and ICSID team members among HSE Best Teachers - 2017
HSE students have chosen the University’s best teachers of 2016/17 academic year. The students voted online via the LMS module ‘Rate your Courses’ from May 29 to June 18, after the obligatory Teaching Quality Assessment. After completing the assessment form, the students were asked to select two best lecturers and workshop supervisors. Unlike the Teaching Quality Assessment, voting was not obligatory, and the students could leave the form blank.
International researchers at HSE
