The ICSID project on public-private partnerships in VET that is supported by the Russian Science Foundation was extended for another year. The three-year project started in 2016 thanks to a generous grant by the RSF, and involves researchers from ICSID and the Institute of Education at HSE.

The talk was organized by the Harriman Institute and the New York University Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia, and moderated by Timothy Frye, ICSID Academic Supervisor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at Columbia University.

Research Seminar on Diversity and Development

HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held another session of their joint Research Seminar on Diversity and Development on February 6, 2018. The event was held jointly with the seminar “Political Economy” and Economic Development and Growth Research Group.

Homeownership, regime support, and civic engagement in four post-Soviet societies

Ted Gerber, Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was invited to present his paper "Homeownership, regime support, and civic engagement in four post-Soviet societies" at another session of the ICSID and CSDSI Research Seminar on Diversity and Development. The seminar took place on December 12, 2017, and, as always, was held jointly with the HSE seminar “Political Economy”.

Andrei Yakovlev – Recipient of Yegor Gaidar Annual Award

IIMS and ICSID Director Prof. Andrei Yakovlev became a winner of a prestigious Yegor Gaidar Annual Award for “Outstanding Contributions to Economics”. The Award Ceremony took place in the Theatre of Nations in Moscow on December 15, 2017. 

New book

A new book "The Political Economy of Pension Policy Reversal in Post-Communist Countries" written by ICSID associate fellow Sarah Wilson Sokhey has been recently published by Cambridge University Press.
