Andrey Tkachenko has defended his PhD thesis

Andrey Tkachenko, a senior research fellow at IIMS, has successfully defended his PhD thesis ”Essays on market structure, competition, and political connection in public procurement” at the Bocconi University (Italy).

An article in the Journal of Institutional Studies

An article by Andrei Yakovlev, Andrey Tkachenko, Milena Emelianova and Olga Balaeva titled "Reputation and Trust in the Russian Public Procurement System" has been published in the Journal of Institutional Studies. 

Institute of World Economics Conference

Andrei Yakovlev presented his paper "Evolution of State-Business Relations in Post-Soviet Russia" at the international conference organized by Institute of World Economics (Hungary) on March 24th. This year's conference theme was "Contemporary Varieties of Capitalism: cutting-edge debates and recent tendencies in the East-Central and Eastern European region". 

The changing perceptions of corruption during the Covid-19 pandemic in Russia

The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) has released an eBook titled "Procurement in Focus: Rules, Discretion, and Emergencies". Along with other European scholars interested in public procurement, IIMS researchers Polina Detkova, Pavel Pronin, Andrey Tkachenko and Andrei Yakovlev contributed to the book with the chapter "Changing perceptions of corruption during the Covid-19 pandemic in Russia". 

The BRI Forum: Seminar on Sustainable Development, Sustainability and the Private Economy

"Seminar on Sustainable Development, Sustainability, and the Private Economy" was conducted on December 10 as part of the BRI Forum, and was hosted by the Centre For Research of Private Economy (CRPE), the School of Economics, and the Ningbo Centre for Sci. & Tec (Zhejiang University).
